Forum Case Studies – COVID-19 and the Future of Volunteering for Development Findings from a study conducted for the International Forum for Volunteering in Development (Forum)

These case studies form part of the study commissioned by the International Forum for Volunteering in Development to examine the impact of COVID-19 on volunteers, volunteer involving organisations and volunteering for development. The case studies focus on six International Volunteering Cooperation Organisations (IVCOs), their partners and volunteers: Australian Volunteers International (AVI), Cuso International, France Volontaires, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec) and VSO. We thank them for their participation and support.

The case studies reflect the voices and perspectives of IVCO country representatives, programme directors, partner organisation representatives, volunteers and community representatives, the reports offer ‘on-the-ground’ accounts of how the pandemic impacted on their lives and activities during September and October 2020.
