Over the past decade, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have generated unprecedented global efforts to reduce poverty and inequality. Now, as the post-2015 agenda is taking shape, a number of historic opportunities for civil society engagement are emerging – both within the UN system and in interaction with member states at the global, regional and national level that will have the potential to contribute to the formation of an ambitious and transformational framework for the future.
