Interactive dolls and psychologist Larisa Surkova help mothers develop empathy in children

Family and children’s psychologist Larisa Surkova reminds all modern parents: children who spend a lot of time with gadgets, especially at an early age, may later encounter difficulties in socialization, the formation of emotional intelligence and the ability to empathize. Living communication with children and adults, reading and discussing fairy tales, speaking feelings, as well as role-playing games with toys similar to real kids help to recognize your own and other people’s emotions, to empathize, to predict the behavior of others and to adequately respond to it. The model and star of the Russian Instagram Alyona Shishkova with her daughter Alisa in the company of 15 more bloggers – parents of girls decided to apply the recommendations of the psychologist in practice. Subscribers watched how popular insta-moms in a fun way introduce their children to various manifestations of feelings on the example of “live” interactive dolls. Little participants in the campaign “Love as Mom” comprehended the subtleties of empathy along with Baby Alive dolls “My favorite baby” and “Baby dancing on a pot”. These amazingly realistic toys behave just like real babies, expressing emotions in more than 50 ways with the help of movements, facial expressions and sounds: respond to touch, smile, cry, whine, drink from a bottle, go to the potty. Caring for toy babies, capturing their non-verbal signals, entertaining and reassuring, the girls lay down the behavioral patterns necessary for expectant mothers. The Love as Mom campaign is the second joint initiative of the Baby Alive brand and psychologist Larisa Surkova on Instagram. In the spring of this year, in the framework of the “Daughters and Mothers” project, girls played with dolls, and blogging parents analyzed behavioral attitudes and family patterns that daughters adopt from mothers and translate into adulthood.
